The ideal moment to engage an interior designer is at the very beginning of your project, before any construction or renovation work commences. Early involvement ensures that the architectural plans, finishes, and furnishings are conceived as part of a cohesive vision.

By collaborating with your architect, builder, or contractor from day one, we can help you avoid costly changes, optimize layouts, and integrate bespoke design details that feel harmonious from floor plan to final styling. Even if your project is already underway, bringing in a designer can resolve challenges, refine selections, and ensure the end result feels intentional and artfully composed.

At Deni + Dove Interiors, we follow a five-step design process lasting several months, or more, depending on the project scope. We begin with a two-hour at-home consultation to assess the project scope and better understand your style, functional needs, and investment level. We start the design aspect by creating mood boards and concept designs before moving on to product sourcing and the design presentation stage. From there, we will oversee any construction or renovation work to be done and will manage the ordering, tracking, delivery, and storage of your items. Once everything has been received, our team, along with our trusted movers and installers, will spend approximately 1-5 days installing and styling your items to perfection. 

How long will the project take from start to finish?

Since every interior design project is unique, the timeline for each project will vary greatly based on the scope of work and how quickly we are able to make decisions. While we strive for efficiency, factors like backorders, construction delays, or vendor issues may impact the schedule. A good rule of thumb is to allow 4-9 months for the design of a single room with furnishings and basic renovation work. Large-scale projects, such as new construction and extensive renovations, generally require 9-15 months on average.

Yes. Our business model ensures that all purchasing and execution are handled through Deni + Dove Interiors. This approach protects your investment by avoiding costly quality or sizing mistakes, and it allows us to maintain design integrity from concept to completion.

We are based in New Jersey and primarily work in Bergen County, Essex County, Morris County, and Union County, as well as the surrounding NJ and NYC metropolitan areas. For select projects, we are happy to discuss long-distance or out-of-state work.
